Circa 1930s
A very good example of a 1930s made stool, adzed all over, with a lattice leather seat, on four square and octagonally carved legs joined by stretchers. A superbly executed typical early period mouse is carved to one of the corner legs. All the wooden frame joints are sound and the wood has a good aged colour. Unfortunately it no longer retains its original webbed leather seat which has been replaced in the recent past (not R. Thompson’s), hence the great value price for a sought after 1930s made piece. ( Worth £100+ more with its original leather).
