Circa 1940s/50s

A substantial  early made Robert ‘Mouseman’ Thompson  4’5″ Oak Tavern Table of rectangular kidney shaped form, constructed from a single plank of 2″ thick  adzed solid oak, standing on four substantial octagonal tapered legs wedge jointed through the  table top. A very nicely carved mouse is in high relief to the edge of the table top.

Presents in good solid original condition, but would benefit from a full refurbishment to involve stripped off the worn varnish, cleaning and refinishing.  It will be a very fine piece indeed after refurbishment and rewaxing. We’ll be pleased to undertake this for clients if they wish, pricing accordingly.
