Circa 1970
An excellent example of a 4’6″ Robert ‘Mouseman’ Thompson solid oak Kneehole Desk or Dressing Table of characteristic rectangular form, with an adzed top and rear upstand, and a bank of three adzed and graduated drawers each side of the central kneehole seating position. Extensively panelled to the kneehole, sides and rear with adzing to the framework, in line with the craftsmanship of the 60s and early 70s. A well carved mouse sits prominently to the front canted corner.
It presents in excellent condition and a lovely depth of colour following a sympathetic clean and rewax in our workshop.
