Traditional four legged stool with Robert Thompson’s distinctive adzed and steamed curved top, made from a single plank of quarter sawn oak with good meduallary ray figuring which is nailed to the stool apron and legs. Acquired directly from the original
owners family it presents in  excellent condition with tight joints, waxed with a lovely naturally deep honey colour and patina. Signature mouse carved running up one of the octagonally carved legs.
