Circa 1960

Smaller at 1 1/2″ and much rarer to the market than the larger modern 2″  version. Superb condition with a very rich deep honey colour  and patina. No losses or damage. Detailed and well carved high backed mouse on such a small item with the
tail  to the right, much crisper and detailed  than is found on modern examples.

 

This is one of two that i have, see also stock ref: DS1193. They are not a matched pair, differ slightly in colour and have been made by different craftsmen so i am offering them separately. The final two images in the gallery below show the two side
by side and with a more modern  2″ napkin ring.
