Stock ref: DS1242
Circa 1930s
Superb highly sought after early Mouseman fruitbowl, of smaller diameter than the currently made version but deeper and with the mouse carved to the exterior side of the bowl. Extensively adzed and tooled and a rich deep chestnut colour and patina. Superb condition, just a minor natural oak burr loss visible in the bowl and the expected slight staining commensurate with normal usage. Originally given as a gift by Robert Thompson to a family relative, together with a pair of candlesticks, and hence by family decent prior to my purchase.
Size: 23.5(dia) x 7.5(d)cm
