A rare opportunity to own a  highly sought after’Mouseman’ Mantel Clock, in a solid oak surround of traditional arched form, tooled to all visible surfaces with a wonderful early mouse carving to the upper side. We’ve had the original non-working clock movement replaced with a fully cleaned and working french mechanical 8 day movement (circa 1900) which is a barrel interference fit into the hand carved surround,  found  for us by our usual clock repairer. Presents in excellent condition and colour, the only minor issue we would comment on being very tiny gapping between the clock bezel and surround between the 1-3 o’clock position as the clock is a push fit into the surround, the circular cut-out all chiselled out by hand. Supplied with a new winder/time adjuster key.
