Circa early 1960s

A beautifully coloured and patinated set of 4  Lattice Back Dining Chairs from the Kilburn workshops of Robert ‘Mouseman’ Thompson. The frames are all solid with no loose joints and all the chairs retain their original cow hide seats which remain useable and remarkably free of the staining which these earlier untreated aniline hides are particularly prone to. The frames have been sympathetically cleaned and re-waxed in our workshop, the hides conditioned. As is the norm with chairs this age the under seat foams are now deteriorating, but the set has been priced very competitively to allow for the eventual replacement with a new high quality hide from R. Thompson’s if  the purchaser  so wishes.

The naturally fumed and aged colour and patina makes these chairs an excellent match for either of the early 60s 6′ dowel top dining tables we currently have in stock (see the image gallery below with one of these tables).
