Circa 1940s / early 50s

An excellent and beautifully coloured and patinated example of the earlier taller solid oak standard lamp by Robert ‘Mouseman’ Thompson. Octagonal stepped, faceted and swept base with an excellent large earlier mouse carving on one facet leading to an octagonally carved and tapering central stem with a top collar.

Excellent condition and working order, newly re-wired with period modern three core earthed wiring, new BC22 antiqued brass switchable bulb holder and plug.

Excellent provenance: owned from new, until our recent purchase, by Robert Thompson’s granddaughter and more recently his great granddaughter. Fuller details can be provided to the purchaser.
