Circa late 1950s/early 60s

A rare to market 6 drawer tall chest of drawers from the Kilburn workshop of Robert ‘Mouseman’ Thompson. Adzed all over including the panels, in line with early craftsmanship with penny moulding around the top, a feature not seen on modern chests of drawers. Standing 4’8 1/2″ high it has deeper drawers than the more modern made 4′ six drawer chests. A incised signature mouse with earlier front paws is carved to the botton of the side rail.

It’s been exceptionally well cared for from new and presents in superb condition inside as well as out with a rich deep naturally aged medium fumed colour, frfee from any staining, damage or repairs.
