Circa late 1970s / early 80s

A superb example of the Robert Mouseman Thompson Monks Chair with its distictive curved back and lattice panelling over octagonally carved legs joined by cross stretchers. The oak chair frame and original cow hide seat present in wonderful condition following a clean, wax and polish. The  earlier unsealed aniline leather displays a fine patina with only very minor normal usage marks.
