Circa 1970s

A superb example of the larger solid oak Robert ‘Mouseman’ Thompson octagonal coffee / occasional table. Adzed top with slightly concave sides supported on four octagonally carved baluster legs joined by shaped X stretcher feet. A signature mouse is carved in high relief to one baluster leg.

Fully stripped, cleaned, top sealed and re-waxed in our workshop it now presents in superb condition. The image gallery also contains one image of the top in ‘as purchased’ condition with the typical wear seen on older examples and two images of the piece fully stripped awaiting the top being sealed for durability and the whole piece waxed.

These tables are currently £ 2,340 to purchase new from Robert Thompson’s Craftsmen Ltd.
