Circa 1950s / early 60s
An excellent panelled and pinned oak single wardrobe from former mouseman craftsman Sid Pollard fitted internally with four coat hooks, two each side, and a centre hanging rail.
Wonderful condition with a rich natural depth of aged colour.
As is typical of Sid’s work it is unmarked, he preferred to let his carftsmanship speak for itself. Believed to have been made as part of a full bedroom suite for the landlady of one of Sid’s favourite ‘watering holes’ in Stokesley, North Yorkshire. A chest of drawers / dresser is also being prepared for sale from the same source.
