A superb solid walnut Shoe Cupboard by Stanley Webb Davies the renowned Cotswold School Arts and Crafts furniture maker the whose business operated in Windermere, Cumbria from 1923-1960. Displaying the very finest cabinet making techniques and skills combined with meticulous attention to the smallest details. Especially selected and beautifully grained walnut panels inlaid into the twin doors with decorative chip carving around, and walnut handles. Typical curved edges, exposed cogged dovetailing and contrasting wedged tennons throughout. Capacity for 12-16 pairs of your finest Manolo Blanick or Jimmy Choo shoes.
Photographed in ‘as purchased’ condition, colour faded externally but completely sound. A clean, re-oil and wax will return the exterior to its former glory, like the interior which has lost none of its rich hue. We will be pleased to discuss a sale for the piece as it is or fully refurbished in our workshop.
